Subject:                                     SPARQL Query Over Distributed Heterogeneous Data - INVITATION TO PRODUCT  LAUNCH

The Semantic Discovery System (SDS) V7 Releases 0 & 1

Providing Optimally Performing SPARQL Access Over Multiple Distributed And Heterogeneous Data Sources

To get straight to the key points:

·         Download and review this Powerpoint:  SPARQL Query Over Distributed Data

At Semantic Discovery Systems, we have been working mostly in stealth mode for the past few years building a product that enables layering OWL/SPARQL over almost all possible data sources. The Semantic Discovery System essentially majors on an optimizer that understands distributed queries - of course over multiple RDBMS, but more importantly over pretty well anything - web services, files, and arbitrary programs which are just treated as 'data stores'. The second major summary is that our query processor understands complex nested data and not just vanilla SQL, so layering OWL/SPARQL on top was quite a natural thing to do.

The W3C Workshop on RDF Access to Relational Databases describes a capability that we deliver and exceed now.

The Semantic Discovery System (SDS for short) V7 Release 1 (SPARQL CLI over all data sources), is now available via an Early Access Program (EAP for short) – and we would like to invite you to Download and trial this software, tell us what you think (please be sure to read EAP Note below signature) – ideally at the Product Forums, and decide how you would like to engage with us, particularly with a view to offering functionality and usability feedback that will help us evolve and improve The Semantic Discovery System into what you want for your personal and/or organization’s needs going forward.

We warmly invite your unreserved feedback and participation.
